We finally got out of town for a while! Yipppeee! We left Tuesday and drove to Fort Worth. We took Jordan to the Zoo and wow did we pick a great day to do that...we didn't know that Wednesday was half priced day. So, since it was spring break...the zoo reported a record turnout that day! Yes...we were right in the middle of more than 23,000 people. We had fun and Jordan loved seeing the animals, but we all finally got tired of the crowd. Jordan said "Lets just go!" We had fun relaxing and eating good food (well, mostly...we didn't have very good luck at trying new places the first couple of days!)
We did some shopping in Hillsboro & visited the Stockyards. We left Friday and went to Bowie to see some of Cody's family. It was great to see them. Jordan & Hunter had lots of fun playing in the dirt & feeding the fish! I hope we get to see them again soon.
It was nice to get away and we had fun, but I am so glad to be home. I am ready to get into my bed and have a good night's sleep. Jordan wishes she was still at a hotel! I've got some pictures from this week, but I'm too tired to mess with posting them right now. I will get that done in the next few days. I hope everyone else had a great Spring Break too! I can't believe that it's getting so close to being the end of Jordan's first year of school...she's getting to be so grown up!! Ok...now, I'm going to get my laundry out of the dryer and going to sleep....GOOD NIGHT!

Thomas & Amanda
Thomas & Amanda came so we finally got to meet the newest member of our family!!! We loved having them around & can't wait until we get to spoil him again. The first thing Jordan did when we got to Mother's with the baby was ask to hold him. She did very well, but she said he was "squishing her".

His big cousin wanted to make sure his animals were covered up too!

He loves his bath!!

This was my favorite part of the time...snuggling with him while he slept and seeing how Jordan reacted to her baby cousin. A couple of times, I fell asleep with him!

Jordan got my camera and took pictures of everyone...so, here's Amanda.

My Opinion
This is the first time I have used this blog to express my opinion over anything, but in the past week, I have become so irritated at some of the people in this country, I decided to just let it out.
I would like to know when the American people are going to realize one person can not "fix" the problems that we are facing, and also that one person can not cause the problems either. There is no reason to go around casting blame and being so disrespectful. My four year old has been taught about the election process and knew that one of the 2 candidates would be the new president. The one thing that I have told her over and over is that no matter what our opinion, the office of the President of the United States deserves nothing but respect....and the person who holds that title deserves to be shown that respect.
I have been so disappointed in the disrespect that has been shown to now Former President George W. Bush. None of us can even imagine the pressures or stresses that come with that job & its duties. He was blamed for everything that has gone wrong, yet has not been given any credit for the things that have gone right.
I do not agree with the liberal views of President Obama, nor did he get my vote, but as our President, I respect him. I watched his inauguration because it was a moment in history. I pray that God guides him to do the best job he possibly can for our country.
I'll get off of my soap box now, but I wish that American citizens would show the man that led our country for the past 8 years the respect that he deserves. In my opinion.....Great Job to Former President Bush & Good luck to President Obama. May God bless you both.
